Apparently my proclamation of spring in the Rockies was a bit premature. I took this photo yesterday, of our recently hung humming bird feeder. Fortunately for the little hummers they haven’t made it to these parts yet. By the end of the day we had a foot of snow, with more due overnight.

Now that (most) of the snow is melted, and our bird baths have liquid water in the (late) morning it seems that spring is finally here. A couple of weeks ago we saw our first Robins of the year, followed shortly by the Bluebirds. It is heart warming to see the Robins scamper four feet [...]
